  Pretty good BBQ right on the river. My wife and I enjoyed this little spot. It wasn't too busy and was tucked away from all the tourist on the main strip. Prices were about average for a BBQ joint

  Excellent location and atmosphere. Very good BBQ. It is right alongside a river and even though it is authentic southern US BBQ, they found a way to make the building fit in with the Alpine theme of Helen while still feeling like you were eating on your grandparent's front porch. There is also inside seating, but with the view outside, we chose that even though it was a little bit cold. The only things that kept it from 5 stars is that it is counter service unlike the other Rib Country restaurants I have been to (There are 6, all in the North Georgia/Western North Carolina Mountains) and they don't offer the full menu like the other restaurants. My review really should be more like 3.5 stars if that were possible because the fries were not very warm when we got our food, but that was the only time that has happened to me at one of their restaurants and the pulled pork sandwich was so good I didn't care. You have to look for the place because it is somewhat tucked away behind some other buildings and lower than the bridge that crosses the river right next to it.
